JAM Records Provides an 'Artist Bill of Rights' to Recording Artists
December 5, 2002
Recording artists finally get what they
are looking for and deserve. JAM Records is breaking ground by providing its
artists with an "Artist Bill of Rights" that includes: (1) Larger
participation in the profits, (2) transparent accounting, (3) complete
creative license, (4) one album at a time contracts, and (5) enhanced
marketing and distribution.
Recording industry leaders come together for artist's cause. JAM founder's
include:
Bob Johnston, who has produced over half a billion units, for such
giants as Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Simon & Garfunkel, Louis Armstrong and
Aretha Franklin, and wrote best selling songs for some of the world's top
artists including 21 songs for Elvis Presley.
Charles E. Armstrong is
Internet Week's Media & Services E-Commerce Executive of the Year, and one of
the industry's leading expert in marketing and distribution, and formally
founder of AMFM, at the time the world's largest radio broadcast entity.
Paul
Marshall is recognized as one of the country's leading legal experts in
recording and music publishing.
JAM Records is scheduled to release two albums in the first quarter of next
year, which will include some of the biggest names in the industry, and is
rapidly signing established artists. To fund these new acquisitions, JAM has
retained C. K. Cooper & Company in Irvine, California.
