ROCK 4 X-MAS 6
Classic Rockers from the '70s and '80s Perform in Multi-state Charity Event
November 18, 2002
In its sixth year running, classic rockers are "giving it up" for charity in Massachusetts, Florida and New York this Christmas season.
Performers include Larry Hoppen of Orleans, Chuck Negron from 3 Dog Night, Pat Travers, Stet Howland from WASP, Michael Vescera from Killing Machine, Fergie Fredriksen from TOTO, Paul Shortino from Quiet Riot, Mitch Perry from Edgar Winter Group, Last Man Standing, Zebra and more.
In Massachusetts, 11/27/02, at the Mill Hill Club in West Yarmouth, the festivities begin with six-plus hours of rock. The charity-driven shows include performances, meet-and-greets, raffles and silent auctions of rock-n-roll and sports memorabilia. All proceeds from these events will go to help less fortunate families local to each show. Charities include the Champ House, Children Hospitals, the UHO, Human Resource Foundation and local churches.
Two shows follow in Florida. The first is 11/30/02 in Ft. Myers Beach at the Beached Whale, an outside stage with sun and fun. The next performance is 12/1/02 in Naples at Ridge Port Pub.
On 12/5/02, the tour proceeds to Long Island, New York at the Crazy Donkey in Farmingdale. Then, the grand finale will be held in Times Square at the WWE's The World, 12/6/02. The New York shows will feature all of the above named artists.
The Events Producer, Morrison Music & Production of New York says:
"Each year we try to help those in need. Charities need our attention. From spending time with the ill to cutting the check, it is all in the personal touch we can give to each situation that we encounter. I truly hope Rock 4 X-Mas will continue to grow and help more families that are less fortunate each year."
Tickets are available at each venue. Tickets for the World performance in NYC are available at TicketMaster.com.
