Squirrels from Hell Make 12th NYC Marathon Appearance
October 30, 2001
On November 4, 2001, Squirrels from Hell, "The Band New York City Couldn't
Kill," will be making their 12th appearance as volunteer musicians along the
New York City Marathon route. Taking up their traditional post at the 18-mile
mark on First Avenue at 113th Street, the fellows from Hellsville, NY (they
swear it exists) will be playing originals, old and new, from noon to 3 p.m. With restrooms located in the community center behind them, their post has proven to be a popular stop for photos, dancing, and impromptu musical guests.
The Squirrels are proud to be part of New York's cultural avant-garde and
welcome another opportunity to support an activity that helps make NYC the
greatest city in the world.
Squirrels from Hell will also be appearing in downtown NYC on Sunday Nov
11th, 8 p.m. at Continental.
