Soprano Star, Jamie-Lynn Sigler Releases Debut Album Here to Heaven

October 27, 2001 – Jamie-Lynn Sigler (Meadow Soprano of the HBO series "The Sopranos") recently released her debut album Here to Heaven (BAB Music / Edel Entertainment) on October 16th. The album contains ten original tracks; with three tracks in Spanish. The first single, "Cry Baby," was introduced to radio on October 1st and is in rotation on stations Z100 in New York, Star93.7 in Boston, KISS 103.5 in Chicago and KISS 106.7 in Dallas. The video for "Cry Baby," directed by Nigel Dick, premiered on MTV's TRL on October 16th. Jamie-Lynn will perform on "The View" November 7th and on November 24, she will be hosting MTV News' Special, "The Fake ID Club."

Music has always been Jamie-Lynn's first love; performing in theater from a young age it was natural for her to return to her musical roots. With songs produced by the Berman Brothers (Hanson, Real McCoy, Amber) and Desmond Child (Ricky Martin, Cher, Bon Jovi), Jamie-Lynn was able to capture the unique blend for a pop-dance-latin sound.

Here to Heaven includes pop tracks "Bada Bing," "Pressure," and "Come With Me," as well as the ballad "He Wouldn't Listen To My Dreams" and the acoustic "Giving Up On You". The album also includes three latin flavored tracks "Ole," "Sin Ti" and "Tu Eres," which reflect Jamie- Lynn's Cuban heritage. Jamie co-wrote three of the songs.

"I didn't think I'd be good," she confesses. "But they locked me in a room one day and said 'write!' It means so much to sing your own words. People thought I should make something for the 'adult audience,' I didn't want an album that wasn't my age, I'm only 20. Everything I'm singing about, I've gone through."

In addition to her acting and music career, Jamie-Lynn also starred this summer, in a 15-city tour of the Rodger's and Hammerstein's musical "Cinderella," performing the lead role along with Eartha Kitt as her Fairy Godmother. Jamie-Lynn can also be heard singing "I'm Comin' Out" in the Levi's jean commercial, with the singing belly-buttons.

Jamie-Lynn will perform across the country throughout the year. She begins taping "The Sopranos" in November to air in Fall of 2002.
