Limp Bizkit/Eminem Kick Off Anger Management Tour October 19th
Limp Bizkit Playboy Mansion Party Shut Down by Cops
October 12, 2000 Evidently, Fred Durst is no longer mad. To prove his newly found peace and light, Limp Bizkit are about to embark on their Anger Management Tour. Not accidentally, the tour coincides with the release of the band's new album Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water (Flip/Interscope), due on shelves October 17th.
Included on this much-needed Anger Management Tour are fellow trainee Eminem, and soldiers of serenity Papa Roach and Xzibit. The tour kicks off Thursday, October 19th, at Continental Airlines Arena in East Rutherford, NJ.
Already somewhat disproving his newly found peace, Fred recently said about the tour, "When people come out, they'll be impressed. Plus, we've got Eminem, Papa Roach and Xzibit with us. None of the other tours will be able to fuck with us." The question is, Were any of the other tours trying? Or is the little monk picking a fight already?
Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water, the group's third album, is already generating interest with its two lead singles "My Generation" and "Rollin'." The group celebrated the album release with a star-studded party at the Playboy Mansion, where the revelry in all of its Zen-like flair actually made history as the first Playboy mansion party ever to be shut down by the police.
Joining in the excessive noise that brought the shindig down were the likes of the Deftones' Chino Moreno, Charlize Theron, Korn's David Silveria, Courtney Love, Deborah Harry, Godsmack, Third Eye Blind's Stephan Jenkins, Toby McGuire, Tommy Lee, Verne Troyer, Backstreet Boy Howie D, Incubus,
Powerman 5000, Kate Hudson, Rob Zombie, Sisqo, Billy Baldwin, Sugar Ray, System of a Down, Tommy Lee, Warren G, and Xzibit. The soiree will air as an MTV special, Limp Bizkit's Playboy Bash, October 13th.
Following is a list of Limp Bizkit Anger Management Tour dates. Expect Eminem to lead pre-show meditation, Papa Roach to conduct a choir of deep-breathing exercises and Xzibit to make sure everyone counts to ten before taking the stage. Finally, Zen Master Limp Bizkit, and quite possibly the police, will close the show:
