Solomon Burke has filmed a video for "None of Us Are Free," from his new album Don't Give Up On Me, with European director Bas Vink. The video -- shot in black-and-white -- will also feature the Grammy Award-winning Blind Boys of Alabama providing backing vocals, as they do on the album version of the song.

Next up, Solomon Burke will be heading overseas for a tour of Europe, where Don't Give Up On Me entered the European chart at #59 (#14 Sweden, #21 Norway, #25 in Holland, #32 in Italy). Solomon Burke asserts, "I am so excited about going to Norway for the first time and getting back to Sweden, Holland, Germany, Belgium, France and England! Some of the shows are already sold out."

Upon his US return, Solomon with open for the Rolling Stones by special invitation at Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles on November 4 and The Joint in Las Vegas. (The Stones covered Solomon's "Cry To Me" and "Everybody Needs Somebody to Love" back in the day.)

"And for the first time in my career, we're playing with the Rolling Stones. The Rolling Stones. It's an absolute honor," exclaims Solomon.

Don't Give Up On Me (Fat Possum/Anti) has gathered a mountain of rave reviews (see NY Rock's review).
