September 11, 2002 — Last month, Beck announced that the backing band on his October tour would be none other than everyone's favorite Oklahomans, the Flaming Lips.

The Flaming Lips will be going out with Beck in support of his acoustic-based record Sea Change. The Lips will open up with their own set, before playing with the man himself on his set.
