Bruce Hornsby's Fall Tour Dates
September 5, 2002 Bruce Hornsby will hit the road in
support of Big Swing Face, his first album of new material since 1998's
SpiritTrail. Dates for the first leg of his tour are below. The second leg of tour will
follow November 4-24 and will cover the East Coast to the Mid-West.
The first leg of shows will include openers Robert Randolf and Leftover Salmon on various dates and will stick to the East Coast. Joining Hornsby for the trek will be Bay-area jazz-rock guitarist Steve Kimock, who can also be heard laying down moody guitar licks on Big Swing Face.
Big Swing Face is Hornsby's seventh studio record for RCA
Records. Surprisingly enough, Hornsby's trademark piano is almost entirely left behind, sidelined
in favor of more exotic keyboard textures, lush arrangements and drum loops,
and post-electronic bells and whistles with a jazzy edge.
