August 9, 2002 — Mariah Carey will release a new studio album (title: TBD) on MonarC Music/Island Records, December 10, 2002. The album features Carey writing and co-producing with A-list producers such as Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis, Jermaine Dupri, among others. Mariah has already recorded 20 songs for the album, showcasing her stunning voice and songwriting ability.

Mariah Carey, the world's best-selling female performer of all time, signed to the Universal Music Group's Island Records in May 2002. Carey formed her own label, MonarC Music. The label's first release will be Carey's new album through Island Records.
