Mary J. Blige Kicks Off Album Release with TV, Store, Internet and Radio Visits
August 28, 2001 Grammy winning Queen of Hip Hop Soul Mary J. Blige kicks off the release of her latest album No More Drama with several upcoming national television appearances, in-store
appearances in her native New York, radio station visits and internet
campaigns. The album arrives in stores today.
Mary kicked off her slew of national television appearances this week with
her return to "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" (August 22). Today she
will be appearing on MTV's "TRL" (August 28), BET's "Testimony" (August 28),
"The Source Awards" (August 28), "Regis & Kelly" (August 29), and BET's "106 &
Park" (August 29). Other appearances on her schedule include Rosie O'Donnell
(September 5), Lifetime's "Intimate Portrait" (September tba), Lifetime's
"Girls with Guitars" (October 22), "Access Hollywood," CNN and "Showtime at
the Apollo" (tba). Mary also recently graced the cover of Vibe for the fourth
time, and has covers, features and album reviews coming in Rolling Stone, GQ,
Interview, Honey, Essence, Sister 2 Sister, The Source, In Style, People,
Flaunt, Entertainment Weekly, Tower Pulse and many others.
Fans eager to get their copies of No More Drama signed, can catch up
with Mary in New York at FYE today (Aug 28) at 6:00 PM (6th Avenue & 51st Street),
Music Factory in Brooklyn August 29 at 6:00 PM, Vision Quest in Yonkers
August 30 at 6:00 PM or at Rainbow Records in Harlem August 31 at 3:00 PM.
Mary will also be heard across the country on nationally syndicated radio
shows including the "Tom Joyner Show" and Doug Banks. She also has an
extensive schedule of personal radio station visits in major markets.

on BET.com, Seventeen.com, Teen People.com, MTV.com and AOL. Mary fans can
listen to No More Drama on BET.com starting this Friday, log into BET.com

No More Drama features guest artists Missy Elliott, Eve, Lenny Kravitz
and others. "Family Affair," the first single was produced by Dr. Dre. Other
producers include Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Rockwilder, Chucky Thompson, The
Neptunes and Swizz Beatz. Mary will launch a national tour next year.
