August 16, 2000 – David and Iman Bowie are delighted to announce the birth their baby girl, Alexandria Zahra Jones, the couple's first child together.

Alexandria was born yesterday at 5:06 a.m. weighing 7 lbs 4.6 oz.

David assisted in the delivery and cut the umbilical cord.

David and Iman, who met in 1990 and have been married for eight years, both have children from previous marriages: David's son Duncan, 29, and Iman's daughter Zulekah, 22.

No other information about the birth of Alexandria Zahra Jones is available.
