The Black Crowes to Kick Off U.S. Tour August 25

In Progress Tour Now Traversing Europe and Japan

Video for New Single "Soul Singing" Gets Added to Large Rotation on VH1

July 11, 2001 – As their new single "Soul Singing" impacts rock charts and the accompanying video garners "large rotation" on VH1, the Black Crowes have announced dates for a headlining tour of the U.S. Set to launch August 25 in Green Bay, WI, with dates through October 27, New Orleans. On the road in support of their latest CD, Lions, the Crowes are currently touring Europe and will travel to Japan for shows in late July.

The Black Crowes -- singer Chris Robinson, guitarist Rich Robinson, drummer Steve Gorman, keyboardist Eddie Harsch, guitarist Audley Freed and new bassist Andy Hess -- have performed over 1,200 shows since they formed in 1990. They recently completed the co-headlining "Tour of Brotherly Love" in the U.S. with Oasis and Spacehog. While in Europe, the group is alternating headlining shows with festivals that share the stage with artists such as Neil Young, AC/DC, Stereophonics, Wyclef Jean, Deftones, Beck and Ben Harper, among others.
