*NSYNC's Challenge for the Children II Sells Out

June 23, 2000 – Tickets for *NSYNC's Challenge for the Children II Celebrity basketball game presented by Motorola in NYC went on sale Monday, June 19, 2000 through Ticketmaster and sold out in 15 minutes. This year's game is being held July 29, 2000 at St. John's University with an all-star lineup of participants.

Chris Kirkpatrick, Lance Bass, Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez and Joey Fatone collectively known as *NSYNC, founded Challenge for the Children in 1999. The main priority will be to offer financial support to children's programs and charities throughout the country.

CFTC's focus will include children's healthcare causes including but not limited to pediatric AIDS, adoption and foster care, teen pregnancy, alcohol/drug programs and the fight against teen violence.

There is a responsibility to come to the aid of our nation's youth. It is the mission of Challenge for the Children to answer the call by contributing to these programs. "Our foundation is unique because of its focus on children's charities around the world. It is our belief that the children of today are our nation's most cherished commodity," said Lance Bass.
