Justin Timberlake of 'NSYNC Launches MathInMusic Club for Youth

May 29, 2001 – Justin Timberlake of 'NSYNC will hold a press conference 5 p.m. today at the Four Seasons Hotel in Boston to announce the formation of the MathNMusic Club, in partnership with MathMastery and the Giving Back Fund.

"We're excited that Justin Timberlake of 'NSYNC and Britney Spears have joined with MathMastery to form the MathNMusic Club," said Harry Hagerty, president & CEO of MathMastery. "As career professionals and role models for today's youth, they bring their commitment to excellence to MathMastery. We're pleased that they are willing to spread positive messages about mathematics to their fans and the public-at-large."

The MathNMusic Club, located at www.mathmastery.com, presents mathematical concepts, such as fractions and decimals, in a creative, real world scenario -- all taking shape in music. The MathNMusic Club will debut June 5, 2001.

A portion of the proceeds generated from the MathNMusic Club subscriptions will benefit the Justin Timberlake Foundation and the Britney Spears Foundation, members of the Giving Back Fund's family of foundations.

"Justin and Britney believe in the power of a good education and they have been very active in efforts to encourage students to continue their education," said Marc Pollick, president & CEO of the Giving Back Fund. "Their partnership with MathMastery demonstrates their dedication to keeping students in school and will help to fund other charitable programs that encourage life-long learning."

MathMastery is an online math program dedicated to helping students, parents and teachers improve student achievement in mathematics through engaging math activities and curriculum. For more information about MathMastery, or the new MathNMusic Club, visit MathMastery at www.mathmastery.com. MathMastery is a Washington, D.C.-based Internet company of Systems Impact, Inc.

The Giving Back Fund is a national, nonprofit organization that encourages and facilitates charitable giving by professional athletes, individuals in the entertainment industry and others.
