Blues Traveler Take Over New York and Release Bridge May 8
Band Takes on Letterman, Howard Stern, VH1, CBGB, More
May 3, 2001 On May 8th, Blues Traveler will release Bridge (A&M Records), their fifth studio album. For the new release, the band's line up includes two new artists: keyboardist Ben Wilson and bassist Tad Kinchla. Together with lead vocalist John Popper, guitarist Chan Kinchla and drummer Brendan Hill, they put together 12 jam-happy tracks for Bridge, including "Girl Inside My Head," the first single and video.
The morning of Bridge's release John Popper will guest on the "Howard
Stern Show." That afternoon the band will tape an episode of the "Late Show
with David Letterman" which will air later that evening. Immediately
afterwards Blues Traveler will head straight to the VH1 studios for an
interview and acoustic performance for VH1. That night, Blues Traveler will
play a special show at the Supper Club in New York City. And as if that
weren't enough, the boys will head over to CBGB for a 1:00 am
jam, proving there is no rest for a band ready to show the world their never-
ending spirit.
"As we only have one day to release a record we thought the best place to
release it would be back in our old home of New York. And being that we only
have one day in New York, we wanted to see as much of the city as we could,"
jokes Blues Traveler's Chan.
