Co-headliner P.O.D. is known for creating powerful rock music that fuses elements of hip hop, reggae, Latin music and other sounds. Formed in San Diego, the group focuses on positive messages in their music. Their Atlantic release, The Fundamental Elements of Southtown is certified gold with current track, "Southtown" garnering radio airplay.
Co-headliner Staind is currently enjoying a gold record for their first Elektra release, Dysfunction. The band, known for their exciting live performances, got their first big break when Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst caught their show and approached them about working together. Staind has enjoyed strong success with current single and video, "Home."
DOPE, the inflammatory New York City rockers with a 21st century edge, will perform songs from their Flip/Epic Records release, Felons and Revolutionaries, which has logged SoundScan sales in excess of 100,000. The band is intensifying their buzz via the presence of their "Everything Sucks" single and video and their explosive live performances.
The Hollywood-based group Crazy Town are fresh off successive tours with Methods Of Mayhem and the Red Hot Chili Peppers having released their debut Columbia CD, The Gift of Game, late last year. This seven-member band combines underground hip-hop linguistics and beats with slamming rock instrumentation.
In support of the tour, MTV and Roadrunner Records will release The Return of the Rock CD June 13. The compilation is a virtual who's who of rock music with tracks from Kid Rock, Korn, P.O.D., Staind, DOPE, Slipknot, Powerman 5000, Static-X and many others.
