May 8, 2000 – Oasis wildman Laim Gallagher has furiously denied claims that he's about to be divorced by wife Patsy Kensit. Kensit had reportedly declared her three-year marriage over after a string of drunken phone calls from Liam in America, where the rockers are on tour. But a fuming Liam says, "There is no truth in these stories that Patsy and I are splitting up. Both Patsy and I are fed up with these stories. Everything is fine. I am looking forward to coming home to see my wife and kids and they are looking forward to seeing me."

The claim was that Patsy Kensit had ended her three-year marriage to Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher telling him not to return to their North London home when he finishes touring in America.

According to reports in Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper, actress Patsy rang her husband in America with news that she sees no future for them, adding that he should keep away from her on his return. Liam was reportedly shocked and confused by the bombshell and was apparently desperate to return to London, but can't jump on a plane until the end of next week when Oasis finish their grueling tour.

The singer believes his star wife may be depressed about spending so much time apart from him. A band source says, "Liam's aware that Patsy has been stuck at home for over a month and has rarely been out of the front door. She was forced to pull out of a major new movie because she was struck down with a nasty stomach bug. He's worried she's let things get on top of her and he desperately wants to get home."

And a close pal of Patsy's says, "We're all hoping this is just a blip in their relationship and that everything can be sorted out when Liam returns on May 12th."
