April 16, 2001 – Madonna's "The Drowned World Tour," rumored to be an extravagant stage spectacle, will reach major venues throughout Europe and America this summer. During the tour – Madonna's first since 1993's "The Girlie Show" – the Material Girl will perform songs from Music, Ray of Light, and other numbers spanning her long career.
