Limp Bizkit Announce Free Concert Tour
April 24, 2000 Limp Bizkit have scheduled a live press conference for today, Monday, April 24th, at 12:30 p.m. PST to announce a special tour of free concerts set to take place from July 4 through August 6, 2000. The first of its kind, the tour will include guests Cypress Hill plus a third act yet to be announced.
"It's been a great year for Limp Bizkit, and we wanted to give something real back to the fans," said Fred Durst, the group's lead vocalist. The band's current release, Significant Other, has scanned close to six million copies and sold eight million worldwide.
The press conference promises to reveal the details of ticket distribution, dates and venues as well as a surprise announcement. It will emanate from the band's recording studio in West Hollywood, CA, where they are currently working on their next release, Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water, tentatively set for release in August.
