Face to Face Unveil Final Song Listing as Decided by Fans for New CD Reactinary Due Out June 20 on Lady Luck/Beyond Music
April 21, 2000 After receiving nearly two million votes on the Internet during a six-week period, Face to Face have announced the final track listing for their new CD Reactionary, due out June 20 on Lady Luck/Beyond Music.
In a ground-breaking move, the provocative Southern California punk band Trever Keith (vocals, guitar), Scott Shifflet (bass), Chad Yaro (guitar), Pete Parada (drums) allowed the public to vote on which new songs would appear on their new CD, which marks the band's fifth studio album in their ten-year career. Fans listened to audio snippets of songs in streaming audio via mp3.com and then voted on their favorites. This campaign was so successful that the initial four-week voting period was extended an additional two weeks, wrapping up April 1. Commenting on the success of the campaign, MP3 Project Manager Gus Pena said: "Face to Face's innovative outreach to fans via MP3.com is a triumph and will be seen in the future as a visionary statement from a musical artist."
Look for the four songs which did not make it onto the CD to possibly turn up as a bonus EP, secret mp3 files or on limited edition releases. Stayed tuned to the band's new website www.facetofacemusic.com for more information. The following songs will appear on Reactionary (not listed in any particular order):
"Disappointed"
"Out Of Focus"
"What's In A Name?"
"You Could've Had Everything"
"Hollow"
"Think For Yourself"
"Just Like You Said"
"Solitaire"
"Best Defense"
"Icons"
"Shame"
"Estranged"
