Atlantis, Paradise Island To Host "Gloria Estefan, Caribbean Soul: The Atlantis Concert"
One-of-a-Kind Resort Destination To Serve As Location for Launch of the International Superstar's New Album and First Network Television Special
April 20, 2000 To launch an album titled Alma Caribena, ("Caribbean Soul") it's difficult to imagine a more ideal location than Atlantis, Paradise Island -- the most iconic resort destination in the world.
To celebrate the debut of her new album on Epic Records Alma Caribena ("Caribbean Soul"), international superstar Gloria Estefan will be taping her first network television special, Gloria Estefan, Caribbean Soul: The Atlantis Concert on April 29. The entertainment special will feature performances by the Grammy Award-winning artist, as well as a guest performance by Latin success story Marc Anthony. A special version is also being taped to air in Latin America that will include appearances by Celia Cruz and Jose Feliciano.

The special, which will air Friday, May 12 (8 - 9 p.m. ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, will showcase Sun International's Atlantis, Paradise Island. The most unique destination in the Caribbean and the Bahamas, Atlantis accommodations include the incomparable 1,201-room luxury Royal Towers and the Coral and Beach Towers; 38 restaurants, bars and lounges; an entertainment center with a uniquely designed casino; an impressive collection of luxury boutiques and shops and extensive meeting and convention facilities.

Jeb Brien ("Sessions at West 54th," "Roy Orbison and Friends: A Black and White Night"), Marty Culner ("Jerry Seinfeld: I'm Telling You For the Last Time, Live on Broadway," "Garth Live From Central Park") and Grammy Award-winning producer Emilio Estefan Jr. ("Gloria Estefan: Live in Miami on HBO," "Super Bowl XXXIII Halftime Show") are the producers.
