'N Sync, Jennifer Lopez, Goo Goo Dolls, Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey to Perform At Nickelodeon's 13th Annual Kids' Choice Awards
Star-studded Event Airs Saturday, April 15, 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon
April 13, 2000 'N Sync, Jennifer Lopez, the Goo Goo Dolls, Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey will be the featured performers at Nickelodeon's 13th Annual Kids' Choice Awards, which will be telecast Saturday, April 15 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT. The multi-platinum-selling artists will join a star-studded lineup and perform their biggest hits to a Hollywood Bowl audience filled with more than 17,000 kids and families.
A three-time host, Rosie O'Donnell returns to this year's Kids' Choice Awards as Master of Ceremonies. LL Cool J, David Arquette, Mandy Moore and Frankie Muniz will join O'Donnell to co-host the event.
Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards has emerged as one of the biggest events in Hollywood, boasting a massive popular vote and sweeping audience participation. It is the only awards show that gives kids the power to vote for their favorite in movies, television, music, sports and much more and honors their opinions with a live show filled with the stars they love.
'N Sync, Lopez, O'Donnell, Moore and Muniz are among this year's nominees. Other top celebrities appearing in this year's show include Robert DeNiro, Mel Gibson, Will Smith, Ray Romano, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Bill Goldberg, Jamie Foxx, Scott Foley, Seth Green, Leslie Bibb, Carly Pope, Melissa Joan Hart, LFO, 98 Degrees, Ben Savage, Rider Strong, Amanda Bynes, Nick Cannon, Lindsay Felton, and Steve Burns.
'N Sync is no stranger to Kids' Choice audiences, having won in 1999 for Favorite Music Group. Their latest CD, No Strings Attached, and its debut single, "Bye, Bye, Bye," currently top the album and singles charts. After a star turn opposite George Clooney in the feature film Out of Sight, actress/singer Jennifer Lopez scored a number one hit last year with the single "If You Had My Love" from her debut platinum-selling CD "On the Six." The Goo Goo Dolls have enjoyed major success with their recent CD Dizzy Up the Girl, which featured the Grammy-nominated hit single "Iris," and songs "Slide" and "Black Balloon." Jessica Simpson and real-life sweetheart Nick Lachey of 98 Degrees teamed up on the current chart-climbing hit "Where You Are," which is featured on Simpson's CD "Sweet Kisses" as well as the "Here On Earth" movie soundtrack.
Nickelodeon's 13th Annual Kids' Choice Awards will be seen in more than 87-million households on Nickelodeon's international channels in the UK, Australia and Latin America, as well as the U.S.
