April 11, 2000 – Today, BBC announced Mos Def, the Pharcyde, Del the Funky Homosapien, Guttermouth, and Flogging Molly as the music line-up at Boarding for Breast Cancer's 5th Annual Snowboard and Music Festival, presented by RLX Polo Sport, to be held on Saturday, April 15th at Sierra-At-Tahoe, CA.

BBC is a non-profit, youth-focused, awareness and fundraising foundation. BBC's mission is to spread breast cancer awareness among today's youth, and to raise funds for research and educational programs. The foundation's annual snowboard and music festival combines snowboard exhibitions by the world's top professional snowboarders like Shannon Dunn, Tina Basich, Ross Powers, and Michele Taggart, breast cancer awareness and educational exhibits, and music performances by top bands for a one day blow out. The festival also includes a major product raffle and benefit sale with over $50,000 of snowboards and accessories, a chance to ride with pros, and free snowboard product demos.

For the second year, RLX Polo Sport will return as the event's Presenting Sponsor. Polo continues to play a prominent role in the fight against breast cancer including Ralph Lauren's 1989 launch of Nina Hyde Center for Cancer Research and Treatment.

ChickClick.com, a network of websites focusing on young women, has signed on this year as the event's Co-Sponsor. Burton Snowboards has returned for the fourth year as an Associate Sponsor, and is joined by Nissan Xterra, SoBe Beverages, and Cartoon Network's PowerPuff Girls, all first time Associate Sponsors.

Since its inception in 1996, BBC has raised over $400,000 for the cause through its events and programs. Each year, BBC awards grants and funds to awareness and research projects, while continuing to develop BBC's own youth-oriented outreach programs. Past beneficiaries have included the Breast Cancer Fund, the Susan G. Komen Foundation, the Nina Hyde Center for Breast Cancer Research, and a variety of regional organizations.
