Steely Dan Announce U.S. Tour

April 6, 2000 – Steely Dan will be hitting the road for a 38-date U.S. tour in support of their album, Two Against Nature (Giant/Reprise), which was released February 29 and debuted at #6 on Billboard's Top 200. The Tour will kick off May 31 in Spokane, WA and will wind down in Dallas, TX, July 29 (see tour schedule below).

Although it has been 20 years since Steely Dan's last studio album, Two Against Nature has managed to retain the timeless and universal appeal Steely Dan have come to be known for. Their unique synthesis of jazz, rock, and rhythm and blues creates an immediately identifiable sound that is all their own.

With the release of their first album Can't Buy Thrill in 1972, Donald Fagen and Walter Becker launched what would become a highly successful career. A smash from the start, it was followed by six more – Countdown to Ecstasy, Pretzel Logic, Katy Lied, The Royal Scam, Aja and Gaucho – which produced such hit singles as "Reelin' in the Years," "Rikki Don't Lose That Number," "Time Out of Mind," and "Hey Nineteen." The band's record sales total over 11 million.
