One Million Dollars of Proceeds from Sales of the Release Have Been Pledged to the City of Hope

April 5, 2000 – Interscope Records has announced the release of VH1 Storytellers, a one-compact-disc compilation which captures fifteen performances from the acclaimed series on VH1. Performances from David Bowie, Dave Matthews, Elvis Costello, and a Stevie Nicks/Sheryl Crow duet of "Strong Enough" are a handful of the live performances available on this release. All of the tracks were remastered by Steven Marcussen, and a complete track listing is written below.

VH1's "Storytellers" series presents singers/songwriters, playing their music and the stories behind the songs in front of an intimate audience. This spring, the series will enter its fifth season with performances from Steely Dan, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Pete Townsend, and Don Henley. The series premiered in June of 1996.

One million dollars of the proceeds from sales of the release have been pledged to the City of Hope. The City of Hope, "Inspired and supported by a philanthropic volunteer movement, is dedicated to the prevention, treatment and cure of cancer and other life-threatening diseases through innovative research and patient care."
