March 30, 2002 — Stone Temple Pilots will head out on the road again for a series of concert appearances through April and early May. The band has 16 shows scheduled, beginning with its appearance and a cancer charity benefit in Austin, Texas on April 12.

The itinerary focuses on the South and Northeast and features both festival appearances and the group's own headlining dates. Tickets are now on sale for most shows, while venues for several others are still to be announced.

The dates might be among the last for Stone Temple Pilots in support of their 2001 album, Shangri-La Dee Da. The group will turn their attention to making a follow-up to the gold-certified release this summer.
