Five For Fighting Back on the Road

March 12, 2002 — John Ondrasik and Five For Fighting are going back on the road for a series of concert dates which began March 9 in Pittsburgh (see itinerary below) as the group's latest single, the just-released Bob Clearmountain mix of "Easy Tonight," becomes the #1 most-added track at Hot/Modern AC radio. The group will perform the song on "The Tonight Show w/Jay Leno" on April 2.

A video for "Easy Tonight," lensed by director Nancy Bardawil (Hole's "Celebrity Skin," Goo Goo Dolls' "Iris" and "Slide") has already been added to VH1's exclusive "Inside Track" rotation. The last Five For Fighting video, the Ramaa Mosley-directed "Superman (It's Not Easy)," remained on "Inside Track" rotation for 32 weeks. Five For Fighting is the only band or artist to have had two videos ("Easy Tonight" and "Superman") from a single album (America Town) to appear on "Inside Track." Having been certified gold, America Town is rapidly approaching the RIAA platinum mark.

"Easy Tonight" is the successor to Five For Fighting's "Superman (It's Not Easy)," which was nominated for a Grammy in the Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal category. The track "Superman (It's Not Easy)" was the #1 single in Australia, Top 5 in Holland, and Top 20 in Italy and Norway.
