March 8, 2002 — 65,000 people a day are expected for this cutting-edge music, sports and street-culture event, April 12, 13 & 14 in Miami, Florida. The Beyond 2002 Super Festival has signed on Stone Temple Pilots, Fatboy Slim, Third Eye Blind, Less Than Jake and comedian Carl Payne to its already eclectic line-up. This three-day music and sports event will offer music that ranges from hip hop and electronic to alternative. The line-up already includes Outkast, Snoop Dogg, Ludacris, Busta Rhymes, Method Man, Ice-T, Afrika Bambaataa, Slick Rick, Rabbit in the Moon, Jackel and Hyde, Monk.

Beyond 2002 will offer extreme sports exhibitions by professionals from the worlds of Skateboarding, BMX, Snowboarding, Ski-Jumping, Moto-X, In-Line Skating and Paintball.

Comedian Carl Payne, who played Cole on the Martin Lawrence show, will be hosting Friday nights events.

In addition to the music and sports elements of the festival, competitors from around the world will convene for special exhibitions including a 3-day B-Boy Battle tournament, a DJ contest showcasing original mixes and moves and an MC Battle. In addition, renowned graffiti experts will create street art murals.
