Madonna's Summer Tour Brings the Superstar Back on Stage for the First Time in Eight Years

April 16, 2001 - Update: Madonna's summer tour dates announced.

March 30, 2001 – Madonna will embark on an international concert tour this summer, throughout Europe and America. The tour, her first in 8 years, is slated to begin in early June with a series of shows in Europe, then continue from coast to coast across the US beginning late July. A complete schedule of dates will be announced within weeks.

Following on the heels of Music, her multi-platinum Maverick/Warner Bros. Records release that features the title track, "Music" plus "Don't Tell Me," and the latest single "What It Feels Like for a Girl," Madonna's summer itinerary marks the first time the artist has embarked on a live concert tour since 1993's "The Girlie Show." On the tour, Madonna will perform material from Music, as well as a selection of songs spanning the length of her career.
