Incubus on Tour

February 19, 2002 — Honda has announced that their Civic Tour will hit the road again on April 11 with multi-platinum rockers Incubus in the driver's seat. The company has expanded on last year's Civic Tour -- which featured Blink-182 and Everclear -- from intimate-sized venues to a 50-date arena tour across the U.S. this year, featuring Southern California rockers Incubus.

Incubus -- pop, metal, hip-hop and jazz-fusion performed by Brandon Boyd (vocals/percussion), Mike Einziger (guitars), Dirk Lance (bass), Jose Pasillas (drums) and Chris Kilmore (turntables) -- have released six albums in six years, including the multi-platinum Make Yourself, featuring the hit single "Drive." Their current CD, Morning View, went platinum in just ten weeks. The band's fans range from metal heads to young punk rockers to hip hop and alternative rock enthusiasts.

"The band is really excited to be involved with Honda and the Civic Tour because it gives us a chance to play much bigger venues at a ticket price that we think is very reasonable," said Dirk Lance of Incubus. "On top of that, we're able to offer our fans the chance to win a new Civic Si that's been customized by the band at a price that seems about as good as you can get! God knows it's a better version of the Hondas that we first owned."
