Betty Blowtorch Film Needs You
February 17, 2002
Filmmaker Anthony Scarpa has been working on a documentary of Betty Blowtorch for the past two years, traveling extensively with the band and compiling hundreds of hours of footage. After the tragic death of the band's lead singer, Bianca, he has decided -- along with Bianca's parents and the people at Foodchain Records (Betty's label) -- that nothing short of a full length feature film would do justice to Bianca and the band.
Scarpa is looking for footage or photos of the band (i.e., live shows you may have video taped or collected, interviews from cable shows, news stories about the band or about the accident that took Bianca from us, anything related to Betty, Butt Trumpet, etc.) Whatever you can dig up would be of great help, in addition to helping preserve Bianca's legacy and perhaps turning others onto the band.
You can email Scarpa directly at bettyblowtorchfilm@yahoo.com (tell him NY Rock sent you) or send him correspondence (i.e., video, photos, etc.) via regular mail to:
