The Black Crowes and Oasis Confirm Co-headlining Performances

"The Tour of Brotherly Love" to Kick Off May 11

February 27, 2001 – The Black Crowes and Oasis have confirmed dates for a co-headlining American tour that unites two bands who exemplify some of the best of live American and British rock, and who are fronted by siblings: Chris and Rich Robinson (The Black Crowes) and Liam and Noel Gallagher (Oasis).

The 16-city "The Tour of Brotherly Love" kicks off May 11 in Las Vegas, hits Los Angeles' Greek Theatre May 14 and wraps up at New York City's Radio City Music Hall June 7. The shows will feature an opening act (TBA) to be followed by Oasis, with the Black Crowes closing the show. The Black Crowes and Oasis are expected to perform full sets.

The Black Crowes will release their V2 Records debut CD Lions May 8. Oasis released the double live CD Familiar to Millions in November 2000.

Over the past decade, the Black Crowes have delivered a mix of hard blues and heavy riff rock, starting with 1990's multi-platinum selling debut Shake Your Money Maker, straight through 1999's By Your Side and 2000's Greatest Hits 1990-1999: A Tribute to a Work in Progress, on to this past summer's gold-certified collaboration Jimmy Page & the Black Crowes: Live at the Greek.

Oasis belong to a tradition of acts in the history of music who have defined their generation. From the release of Definitely Maybe in 1994 to the massive concerts at Knebworth in 1996, Oasis continue to remain a tough act to follow.
