Backstreet Boys, Outside, On the Streets of Manhattan

February 3, 2001 – On an off day from their sold-out 2001 "Black & Blue World Tour" the Backstreet Boys will make a special appearance on Tuesday, February 6. Outside at Rockefeller Center in Manhattan, they're set to perform two songs – one of which is their hit single, "The Call" from their eight-million selling Black & Blue album – on NBC TV's "Today Show," airing between 7:00 and 9:00 a.m. The appearance comes in the midst of their NYC area shows – February 3 at Continental Airlines arena in New Jersey and Feb 4, 5 at the Nassau Coliseum. The first leg of the tour will wrap up March 18 in San Diego. After this run, the group will tour overseas before returning to North America for a string of stadium shows in summer 2001 and concluding with shows in the Pacific Rim, Japan, Australia and New Zealand.
