Rush Return:
Legendary Trio's Album Slated for Spring Release

January 9, 2002 — Rush have completed recording tracks for their new album. The legendary power trio – Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson, and Neal Peart – just wrapped up recording sessions in Toronto, and are now mixing the songs. The album – which is being produced by Rush with engineer Paul Northfield (Marilyn Manson, Hole) – is the Canadian band's 17th studio recording, and their first all-new collection in over five years. The as-yet-untitled disc is currently slated for an early spring release.

Rush's 22 albums have all been certified RIAA gold or better, with cumulative worldwide sales of over 35 million. The band has been together since 1969.
