Kylie's Fever Set for Feb 26 U.S. Release: Single 'Can't Get You Out of My Head' No. 1 in 17 Countries
January 4, 2002 America is the last piece in what's proven to be a successful puzzle for Kylie Minogue, as Capitol Records sets February 26 as the domestic release date for her international smash album Fever.
Kylie has 30 hit singles, 30 million records sold, and a popular presence on both the silver screen and the smaller one. Her latest album, Fever, has sold over 2 million copies worldwide and is already double platinum in the U.K. where it entered the album charts at #1.
Fever's leadoff single, "Can't Get You Out of My Head," has gone to #1 in 17 countries, with sales of 3 million. It holds the record as the most-played song in a single week in the history of both the U.K. and German charts and is already in heavy rotation on N.Y.C.'s Z-100 and L.A.'s KISS-FM.
Kylie Minogue has enjoyed over a decade of celebrity in the world of music, acting and
beyond. After gaining international fame in the popular TV series "Neighbours," Kylie had her first worldwide hit in 1987 with her
debut single "Loco-motion"; since then, she's released eight albums (in addition to her greatest hits collection and a live album);
appeared in numerous films (her most recent role was The Green Fairy in the hit musical Moulin Rouge); and collaborated with
everyone from Robbie Williams and the Pet Shop Boys to Nick Cave. Each of her 32 singles have gone top 20 in the U.K. She's
also completed a number of sold-out world tours, and performed in front of four billion people when she closed the 2000 Olympics
with her rendition of ABBA's "Dancing Queen" and her own hit "On a Night Like This."
