The Nuns in London: A Triumph!
For those who were unable to attend the Nuns' two performances in London, do not fear, both of these fabulous shows were filmed in great detail, and will be included on the Nuns DVD, scheduled for release early next year on Salvation Films.
All eight gorgeous girls turned up for the full-length Friday night show at the Marquee, including Bella Donna, the Nasty Nun, Vampire Bride the Magdalene, Pretty Poisened Venus, the Seductive and Mysterious LadyDChaos, the alluring Morditha Kalavera, Porcelain Nixx, New York City's top fetish model Darenzia, and Mistress Jennifer, sporting her new tattoo by His Eminence, the Great Dark Lord of Tattooing, Paul Booth.
The show began with the wedding of Mistress Jennifer to Vampire Bride the Magdalene, performed by Bella Donna the Nasty Nun. The show continued and halfway through the set, Mistress Jennifer threw off her black wig and veil revealing her blonde hair. The Vampire girls killed her during "Suicide Child," then she was resurrected.
The Nuns' Halloween show was equally thrilling with gorgeous Darenzia doing splits on the pole, and Bella Donna pouring blood all over Mistress Jennifer's cleavage!
The following is the introduction speech given by Mistress Jennifer at the Marquee Club in London:
"FROM THE DARKEST DUNGEONS AND BORDELLOS WE CAME, CONSUMING AND FEEDING UPON OUR VICTIMS, SUCKING THE VERY LIFE AND SOUL FROM EACH AND EVERY ONE, UNTIL ONE DAY, WE JOINED TOGETHER IN A BEAUTIFUL WORLD WHERE WE COULD PERFORM OUR RITUALS; A CLOISTER WHERE OUR MOST SACRED DESIRES COULD BE FULFILLED.
AND SO WE WERE WED. IN OUR TWISTED, WANTON WORLD OF DEPRAVITY, FULL OF TEMPTATION AND VOLUPTUOS TORTURE, FROM NEW YORK, LONDON, AMSTERDAM AND THE VERY DEPTHS OF HELL, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, MY LORD AND LADIES, WE ARE THE NUNS!"

Biography
Nuns: History, Legend and Fantasy
You may be surprised to learn that the Nuns' Mistress Jennifer is a descendant of Welsh royalty. Her ancestors lived in Whitney Castle (currently Whitney Court in Wales). Unfortunately, the family's royal crest was destroyed in the great Hungarian fire of 1650. But their slogan survives: "Strength, Not Force." Mistress Jennifer plans to rebuild Whitney Castle and reside there, with a famous English actor whose name remains undisclosed.
Returning to the present...
The Nuns now live in dark, deep purple velvet prisons in the dungeons of Manhattan. Avoiding the hideous life of prostitution, they instead corrupt themselves and everything around them, inflicting pain on their many beautiful young lovers, sucking the very life out of them and, hence, living on in eternal beauty. The Nuns' music reflects this opulent lust, bondage and spiritual depravity.
"When I became a teenager, I noticed that boys were afraid of me," says the Nuns' alluring singer, Jennifer Miro. "Then I bought a riding crop and started hitting them with it..." When asked her views on femininity, Jennifer states, "A woman's place is in the home, as long as it has a dungeon."
Jennifer's great, great grandmother, Elizabeth Goodrich Whitney, studied with Swiss psychiatrist C.G. Jung in Zurich and thus imparted the wisdom of many Jungian therapeutic practices to Jennifer, such as creative expression through psycho-sexual drama. Jennifer, in turn, has incorporated these practices into the Nuns' music. Using archetypal images, the Nuns' lyrics and stage show enable the audience to experience the depth of their own unconscious, opening them to both beauty and terror, the divine and the demonic.
Jeff Olener, a transplanted gypsy from Transylvania, studied spell casting and black magic with his grandmother Bubby before forming the Nuns and writing the classic song "Suicide Child." Jeff's menacing presence bewitches audiences and astounds fans in Manhattan's most fashionable Goth clubs.
When the Nuns perform, the stage becomes their sexually charged bondage arena where Jennifer alternately kicks, whips and submits to her bondage partner while Jeff, the veteran priest, presides over the chaos.
Press
Very few bands convey sex through music like The Nuns. And they do it very well. This is the first
release from this band in quite some time. Appropriately titled, this album breaks through gothic
barriers world-wide. It's a masterpiece of metal, techno, punk, and bondage. Whether from the
P.O.V. of the dominatrix or the servant. Each song has its own feeling and sets a different mood.
As evil as it is pleasing to the ears, darkness is ever-present in every song. Listening to this is
like being dragged through a wasteland of evil and sex. Very provocative, sensual, and mean. The
Nuns have pulled off what no other band in the world could. For those of you that are familiar with
"4 Days In A Motel Room", you will not be disappointed. Peronally, my favorite tracks are
"Whore" and "Under My Heels," two songs that stand out on this album like dark spires. Their
DVD was slated for release in January. Word from a very good source tells me that a lot of money
was put into this recording, and it shows. Pick it up. Speedy, SlugMap.com

I can't believe my ears! "New York Vampires" has really kicked my brain.
I've known you from the prism of the split vinyl with Die Form and I had
lost all hope to hear new material from your wonderful fetish band.
Fortunately my dreams come true and I can finally savour the kiss of
your terrific whip. Your music has the merit to mix contrasts: if we
cannot deny the obvious refinement of your specific sound waves, a king
of anger emerges every little note. As far as music is concerned, I do
like the fetish culture even though it often generates the most pathetic
clichés. Regards to your band, we can easily notice that you try to
overpass them creating your own identity and it enables us to apprehend
another side of the fetish culture. Well, this was just a little note to
encourage you to go on bringing us other masterpieces. Thanks again for
your artworks and don't hesitate to come and see us in France. You're
welcome! Tony Leduc-Gugnalons, Music Critic, France
I heard "White Slave" and had to have the CD. It took four weeks to get it
here in the UK (even though the label is London based) but the wait was
worth it. Your mix of vocals leaves me wanting more I can't stop
listening. Steve Evans, UK Club Promoter
"The Nuns from NYC are one of the most controversial and shocking bands around.
Their stage show makes Marilyn Manson's look like the Mickey Mouse Club.
It's shock and sleaze that is now taking center stage. And you know you love it...." Thomas S. Orwat, Jr., Glam-metal.com
"Jenn, what on earth are you trying to do get yourself in trouble again?" (full story) Fred H. Berger, Propaganda Magazine
"Jennifer, La Maitresse de Satan.... Un fantasme sadomasochiste intense. C'est un show tres sexuel." Dresseuse Magazine, September 2001
"Mistress Jennifer is a Teutonic Goddess." Dr. John, The Aquarian, 2001
"The Nuns bring their special brand of psycho-sexual sound with an even edgier bondage-inspired stage show [to every performance]." Next Magazine
"'Suicide Child' saved my life!" Out-patient 7007634, Cedars, Mt. Sinai Psychiatric Unit.
