Osbourne Family Press Conference (NY Rock)
Score: 81
America's favorite dysfunctional family bared all in a mini conference to announce the release of The Osbourne Family Album. On a living-room set (with Ozzy via a screen monitor), wife Sharon and kids Kelly and Jack Osbourne took on the media – and the press had a field day. Kelly: No Sharon: Ozzy wants to fuck Madonna Ozzy: She's too old!

Busta Rhymes: Invades the Planet (NY Rock)
Score: 79
Busta Rhymes' innovative blend of bravado and humor is like nothing the industry has seen before. Suffice it to say, Busta (né Trevor Smith) has knocked a lot of folks off their rockers during his burgeoning career. From his early work with The Leaders of the New School, in 1990, to the recently released Extinction Level Event (The Final World Front), his third solo effort to date, Rhymes has continually shown the world that he is one excitable boy.

NY Rock Confidential by Jeanne Fury

It's the July issue of NY Rock Confidential, right, and I write up an ENGLISH band (hello, Independence Day). In the wake of European bands like Coldplay, Idlewild, and Mogwai gaining credibility in America faster than the fading of Fred Durst, it seems only natural for a band like Porcupine Tree to be imported in the hopes of becoming (economically) fashionable. Porcupine Tree is a British band that has received a lot of praise throughout Europe for its atmospheric rock 'n' roll.
NY Rock Confidential by Jeanne Fury

It's a snotty, prissy, heavy rocking and rollicking storm of mascara and sweat featuring classic tracks like "Rock N Roll Whore," "Ride," and "Party Starts Now," and it also includes a Ramones medley performed slowed down and nasty-ified. Modey Lemon, Thunder and Lightening (Birdman) If garage rock were schooled on speed metal and the Butthole Surfers, maybe we'd have more Modey Lemons. On their third release, The Second Great Awakening, Fireball Ministry – the First Church of Rock N Roll –...
