On a more fun-loving and peaceful note, I'd like to personally invite you to NY Rock Nite at CBGB's (Yes, they've given us the whole damn night), Thurs., Nov. 29.

The Lineup:
Shirley Temple of Doom - 12 midnight
Annie Golden - 11 pm
Lourds - 10 pm
Joy Ryder and the NY Rhythm All Stars - 9 pm
Dollhouse - 7:30 pm

Brief bios on the artists...

Shirley Temple of Doom:
Years ago, the Ramones were the staple act of CBGB. Today, it's Shirley Temple of Doom. Find out why this hard and tasteful band is making a buzz around town.

Annie Golden:
Lead singer of the legendary punk band the Shirts, Annie is currently starring on Broadway in "The Full Monty."

Joy Ryder and the NY Rhythm All Stars:
Joy Ryder has performed with rock and jazz legends such as Iggy Pop, Johnny Thunders, Les Paul, Bonnie Raitt, Crosby Stills and Nash, the Ramones, and Jackson Browne. Individual members of the NY Rhythm All Stars have performed with greats such as Bob Dylan, Al Green, Erykah Badu, Wilson Pickett and Buddy Miles.

Lourds:
Namesake lead singer Lourds is a violin prodigy who has toured the world over. The band just finished performances in Canada. They have opened for Eric Clapton and been written up in the NY Post and Newsday. Considered one of NYC's hottest underground rock acts (of the moment).
