NY Rock Newsletter Numba 1 by Otto Luck
May 2000
Greetings from our lovely tenement in NYC and
welcome to newsletter #1 from NY Rock. To all of you who have
opted to join our list, we are impressed with
your decision-making prowess. If somehow
you've been accidentally included in the mailing,
you'll be happy to know that, as we speak,
NY Rock is assembling a free-sex-for-life
contest, a trillion-dollar giveaway, and
immortality kits that are yours for the taking.
In the words of the great philosopher Mick Jagger,
"sex and sex and sex and sex that's what makes
this town the best" (or something like that), NY
Rock is proud to feature the Elite Model Search
2000 as its cover story for May. To all of our
women fans, please think of it as an introduction
to some of the new faces you'll be seeing in your
favorite clothing ads. For our male hetero fans,
please note that there is some text lodged between
the pictures. If you have a few minutes, you may
want to scan through some of the paragraphs.
Other current NY Rock stories include:
- Interview with No Doubt
- Daily news briefs on artists such as Oasis, Stones,
Korn, Santana, Kiss, Lenny Kravitz
- CD reviews of Neil Young, Hanson, No Doubt,
Built to Spill, Glassjaw, Pat McGee Band,
Smashing Pumpkins.
NEED A LAUGH: head to our Newz section
and check out Matt Schroeder's latest scribes
on topics such as the Love Bug virus, Internet
Privacy and Elian Gonzalez.
Coming up in the week ahead: Reviews of
Bosstones, Don Henley and Charlie Watts.
Of course, if for some crazy reason you wish
to be excluded in the future, just reply to this
message, type "Remove" in the subject header,
and we'll remedy the situation pronto.
On a final note, you'll be happy to observe that
this newsletter contains absolutely no attachments
for you to download to your hard drive.
